Jim Fruchterman, the writer of this blog, is Chairman and CEO of Benetech, a non-profit technology organisation based in California which "concentrates on applying technology to challenging problems facing our society, including literacy for people with disabilities and human rights monitoring and analysis" (description taken from the company blog).
Jim recently visited Micronesia to further his understanding of the situation there for the visually impaired, in particular visually impaired students. He recorded his visit on the Benetech blog, which we have linked to above.
